WorkStuff - Collaborative Documents & Data

"WorkStuff" was trademarked by MaidSafe.net Limited on January 10th, 2012, however it has been put on the backburner, behind the company's most important project, the SAFE Network itself. However, CEO David Irvine has explained that once the Network is live, WorkStuff should be an easy app to release quickly thereafter.

History

This app was first being planned as early as 2011, to give work teams tools to collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, and any other types of files, similar to Google Docs, but for SAFE. It would also allow permissions for sensitive work files that companies may want to keep private, except within their inner work circles.

Features

Inter-account sharing of documents, collaboration on different types of files online using a completely secure network, sharing of coworker / client contacts, and hosting and downloading of important work-related documents in a much more secure fashion than any company is using today. WorkStuff could change the way all levels of companies operate, worldwide.

Launch Date

It was expected that the network would launch at the end of last year, (and this app soon after,) however an amazing new coding language came out called "Rust" that turned out to be perfect for the SAFE Network to be created with. So, the team decided to restart the whole network from scratch in Rust. This means we will have to wait a few more months to see the network or this app. Follow it on Github!
